My Lai , in the central Vietnamese district of Son My, 180 km from Danang, was a watertshed in the history of modern American combat and a turning point in the public perception of the U.S.-Vietnam War.

On March 16, 1968, the angry and frustrated men of Charlie Company, 11 Brigrade, American Division, entered the village of My Lai. The "search and destroy" mission degenerated into the massacre of over 300 unarmed civilians including women, children and the elderly. Lt. William Calley ordered his men to enter the village firing.

Total : 504 villagers died in 4 hours

There were no reports of opposing fire. This day trip to the historical My Lai sight from Danang or Hoi An allows you to visit the museum, meet the

local villagers and tour around the village before going back to Da Nang or Hoian city

3. HOI AN TO HUE OVERNIGHT (2 days)

Turn your trip from Hoian and Hue into an unforgettable journey.

On day one, we leave the coast behind and travel to Prao, a remote mountain town famous for its diversity of hill tribes. Stopping along the way we visit Cham towers, Co Tu minority villages and experience the friendly smiles of rural communities.

After a local breakfast, we ride along the historic Ho Chi Minh Highway through rainforests and over spectacular mountain passes. We arrive in Hue in time to enjoy a cold beer as the sun sets over the Perfume River. (Approx. 280km)

The tour can also be run in reverse, from Hue to Hoi An.

We will arrive in My Son site at 08.00 Am ,you have 02 hours to visit all temples.Specially,we show you the hill ,from the hill you can see overview of My Son site with all temples.

Leave My Son site for Hoi An City / Da Nang City ,on the way back We stop at the local villages where the local villagers are making the wet ricepapers and the other villagers getting the wet ricepaper dried under the sunshine.That is hard work & dailly .

We enjoy lunch with the local villagers in their house ,the food is MY QUANG -Vietnamese name ( Quang Noodles).My Quang is the special food of the central vietnamese people,and the noodles of MY QUANG are made from the wet ricepaper.Here you witness how they make it

stop at: CHINA BEACH,MARBLE MOUNTAIN,HAI VAN PASS & COAST:

Riding out from Hoian and following a unique coastal route ,we stop for visiting Marble Mountain

,swimming in China Beach,and then continue to Hai Van Pass.Stop at Lang Co Beach (at a local beach ) for a delicious seafood lunch. We ride on big open windy roads with few bikes or cars to be seen and along some of the most scenic landscape in Vietnam.

7. HOIAN - PRAO HILL TRIBE-HOIAN (2 days: 9am - 5pm)

On day 1 : Get away from Hoi An for a night and discover a completely different side of Vietnam.

We drive to the remote mountain village of Prao, stopping along the way at historic Cham towers and monuments from the French Indochina war. After morning tea, we ascend the highlands through Co Tu minority towns, stopping for a picnic lunch and swimming in mountain streams. We have a dinner at a local restaurant

On day 2: Breakfast . we drive part of the original Ho Chi Minh Trail, stopping for a picnic lunch at a mountain waterfall before heading back to the Thu Bon river. We arrive in Hoi An at 5pm, following our unique country laneway route into town and in time for the sunset.

8. Hoi An - Kon Tum- Buon Ma Thuot-Nha Trang

Day1: 10 in Map : Hoi An - Kon Tum (~290 km, ~9 h)

We strike back up to the mountains, rejoining the Trail at Phuoc Son (also known as Kham Duc). From there we head up the towering Lo So Pass, passing through remote areas thinly populated by peoples of the Ba Na ethnicity. Edging close to the border with Laos, where a number of Trail arteries crossed over in Laos, we continue on to Kon Tum.

Overnight in Kon Tum.

Day 2: 11in Map : Kon Tum - Buon Ma Thuot (~240 km, ~8 h)

In the morning we head south through the Central Highlands, passing Pleiku and the Ia Drang valley battlefield, before continuing onto Buon Ma Thuot (also known as Buon Me Thuot), the city where northern forces launched their final assault on the then Saigon. Buon Ma Thuot produces most and best coffee products in Vietnam.

Overnight in Buon Ma Thuot.

Day 3: 12 in Map : Buon Ma Thuot - Nha Trang (~190 km, ~7 h)

We take an easy drive back down off the Tay Son highlands towards the coast, arriving at Highway 1 some 30 km north of Nha Trang. Taking in this scenic coastal stretch past turquoise waters and scarlet fishing boats, we arrive in the bright lights of Nha Trang and its relaxing holiday options.

Overnight in Nha Trang.

Day 4: 13 in Map : Nha Trang (relax)

A free day by the beach before gathering for a seafood feast to recount our adventure and toast the Ho Chi Minh Trail. There are two options: Return to Hanoi on train or by air or go down South on your own.
